Edwar Saputra, S.Pd became a ULM representative to attend the world youth summit.

At the international level conference, Edwar presented a social project on solutions to overcome limited access to information for senior high school (SMA) students, especially in rural areas where there is minimal access to information to continue their education to the university level. The solutions obtained from this social project are implemented through 2 (two) terms, namely online and offline.

In the online term, information is disseminated through social communication media such as Instagram and Telegram. While in the offline term, information is provided through direct field activities to provide education and motivation to students and the younger generation so they don’t drop out of school. In this social project it was also found that online terms make it easy for universities to socialize information related to their campus life.

In addition to social project presentations, at ISY 2023 a Symposium and Panel Session’s Conference will also be held which discuss Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). On this occasion ISY 2023 is a space for youth discussion regarding the role of youth in facing the challenges of an increasingly advanced and rapid world, especially with the advent of AI (Artificial Intelligences) technology.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are sustainable development efforts that are used as a reference in the framework of development and negotiations in various countries in the world. The SDGs have several goals, including ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all at all ages, ensuring inclusive and equitable education, reducing inequality within and between countries, promoting sustainable and inclusive economic growth, equitable, productive employment and decent for all, and making cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable.

The Istanbul Youth Summit (IYS) 2023 itself is a program created by the Youth Break the Boundaries (YBB) Foundation since 2017. Through this program, YBB aims for participants who are the younger generation to learn about social development strategies so they can make real changes for progress of his country and become a future leader.

Through ISY 2023 participants will also meet other participants from various parts of the world and learn a lot about different perspectives.
