Sutarto Hadi, M.Si., M.Sc di gedung Serba Guna, Sabtu (16\/09\/2017). Kegiatan ini juga dihadiri oleh Ketua IKA ULM H. G(P) Rusdi Effendi AR, Ketua Koni Banjarmasin, Ketua Percasi KalSel, serta Kepala Dinas Pemuda dan Olahraga Banjarmasin. 206 orang pecatur baik dari tingkat junior sampai kategori umum dari Kalimantan Selatan dan Tengah ikut meramaikan turnamen yang telah dinanti banyak pecinta catur ini. Kegiatan ini diadakan juga dalam rangka Dies Natalis ke 59 Universitas Lambung Mangkurat. Ketua Percasi KalSel sangat mengapresiasi\u00a0 turnamen catur seperti ini, dari turnamen ini akan melahirkan pecatur pecatur handal di KalSel serta mendukung sepenuhnya kegiatan yang memajukan olahraga catur.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/ulm.ac.id\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/New-Picture-5-4.png\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-10468\"><img class=\"size-full wp-image-10468 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/ulm.ac.id\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/New-Picture-5-4.png\" alt=\"New Picture (5)\" width=\"334\" height=\"189\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ulm.ac.id\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/New-Picture-5-4.png 334w, https:\/\/ulm.ac.id\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/New-Picture-5-4-300x170.png 300w, https:\/\/ulm.ac.id\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/New-Picture-5-4-243x137.png 243w, https:\/\/ulm.ac.id\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/New-Picture-5-4-171x96.png 171w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 334px) 100vw, 334px\" \/><\/a>Rektor dalam sambutannya menyampaikan bahwa tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk mencetak bibit baru pecatur masa depan dan\u00a0mengembangkan olahraga catur di Kalimantan Selatan, melalui kejuaran \u00a0Rektor Cup II yang diprakarsai oleh ULM diharapkan perguruan tinggi dapat berperan aktif dalam pengembangan bidang olahraga dan dapat dilakukan secara berkelanjutan. Selain itu pimpinan ULM ini juga ikut memeriahkan turnamen dengan bertanding catur dengan peserta lainnya serta melakukan penanaman anggrek di sekitar gedung Serbaguna.
